Our Story

Two Careers, One Piece of Land.

Stonebridge Vineyard & Winery started in 2003 as ten acres and a shared idea: make honest wine, and make people feel welcome while they drink it.

Marco & Julia Ferrante, Founders

From Ten Acres to a Full Estate

Marco and Julia met while both working harvest at a Sonoma winery, and moved to Walla Walla in 2002 to plant something of their own. The first ten acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah went into the ground the following spring, on land Julia's family had farmed for three generations. Twenty vintages later, the estate has grown to 42 acres across Cabernet, Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Viognier, and the original farmhouse now serves as the tasting room where Julia still greets most first-time visitors herself. Marco makes every wine estate-grown and hand-picked, aiming for balance over extraction — wines meant to be poured with dinner, not just admired in a glass.

Our Winemaking Philosophy

Every bottle is 100% estate-grown and hand-picked. Marco favors older French oak and longer, gentler fermentations over heavy extraction, aiming for wines with real structure that still feel approachable on a Tuesday night, not just a special occasion.

The Estate Today

42 acres across five varietals, a tasting room built from the original farmhouse, and a terrace that hosts weddings and private events most weekends from May through October. Marco and Julia's daughter now runs the wine club, making Stonebridge a two-generation operation.

Who You'll Meet at the Tasting Bar

Marco Ferrante

Winemaker & Co-Founder

Marco trained in Walla Walla and Sonoma before planting Stonebridge's first ten acres in 2003. He believes good wine is made mostly in the vineyard, not the cellar, and still walks the rows himself every morning during harvest.

Julia Ferrante

Hospitality & Events Director, Co-Founder

Julia runs the tasting room, the wine club, and every wedding and private event on the property. She grew up in the valley and wanted Stonebridge to feel like a friend's back porch, not a formal tasting counter.
